Beach Tide Pool at Sharks Cove: This tide pool near the historic town of Haleiwa is great for snorkeling and "reef walking" during the day or "torching" at night. The tidepool is protected from the waves making the water calm and clear and perfect for viewing fish and other sea life. This picture was taken during the summer. During the winter, waves crash on the outer rocks shooting sea spray 50 feet into the air. When the ocean is calm, the areas outside the tidepool are popular with scuba divers and snorkelers.
